Day 1: Arrive in Bella Coola, British Columbia

Welcome to the Great Bear Rainforest! When you arrive at Bella Coola airport, Tweedsmuir Park Lodge staff are there to greet you and transfer you to Tweedsmuir Park Lodge (unless you arrive at the lodge by car). If you arrive before 12:00, you can enjoy lunch with your hosts. Begin your adventure with an orientation tour of the resort and mapping out what activities you are interested to pursue during your stay. Your private package is designed to be flexible, letting you decide what activities you do on what day. A general schedule is laid out for each day, but may be adjusted for weather, animal activity and other preferences.

Hotel: Tweedsmuir Park Lodge (3 Star Rating)

Tweedsmuir Park Lodge is situated at the junction of the Atnarko, Talchako, and Bella Coola Valleys. Looking southwest from the front patio, there is 600 metres of river frontage and stunning views of the aptly named Mt. Stupendous and Mt. Melikan. It's an exceptional location and has been a favourite place for local First Nations people to camp and fish for thousands of years. The lodge property is also known as Stuie, which means "nice place to rest" in the Nuxalk language.
