Day 1: Arrive in Amsterdam

Transfer: Amsterdam Airportto Amsterdam - City Centre

Hotel: Amsterdam De Roode Leeuw (4 Star Rating)

Located in the heart of Amsterdam on Damrak, this hotel is very close to Dam Square and within walking distance of Central Station as well as the Kalverstraat and most major tourist attractions. The bedrooms all vary in size due to the age of the building but they have all been renovated and are now in very good condition. The colour scheme is predominantly black with a shot of colour via the beautiful Amsterdam print above the bedrooms and the rooms also benefit from LCD televisions and high-speed internet. The bathrooms are also in good condition, have all been renovated, and are very modern with dark wooden flooring, with silver and pristine white finishing on the walls and in the showers.

Day 3: Full Day Rotterdam, Delft & The Hague Tour

The Rotterdam, Delft & The Hague Tour begins in the city centre of Amsterdam, right next to Central Station. The Rotterdam, Delft & The Hague Tour will first show you The Hague, where you will see the city centre and the outside of Binnenhof (the world’s oldest House of Parliament that is still in use!), including a walking tour through the city. You will also drive past Noordeinde Palace, where the Dutch King works.

After this, the tour continues to Delft, where there will be time for lunch (not included) and free time to explore. In this beautiful medieval town, you will visit one of the last remaining Delftware factories, famous for their blue-and-white ceramics. Finally, you will visit Rotterdam. Day 4: Full Day Tour to Bruges

Crossing the Netherlands, enjoying its typical countryside, we will drive to Belgium. Our destination today: one of the most beautiful towns in Europe 'Bruges'. Upon arrival you will be guided through the historical center. The rest of the afternoon you can spend to your liking: enjoy a boat trip along the beautiful canals, visit one of its museums, shop for lace, or taste the excellent Belgium 'cuisine' and chocolates. Let yourself be carried away by beauty and romance! Bruges is the perfect place!

Day 5: Full Day Amsterdam Hop On Hop Off Discovery Tour

The perfect way to discover Amsterdam at your own pace. Enjoy great panoramic views while following the carefully designed route passing all the major landmarks that Amsterdam has to offer. The specially designed glass roofs of our buses enable you to enjoy this beautiful and multi-faceted city to the full. Admire the famous canals with their beautiful, elegant canal houses, towers and bridges. Day 6: Half Day Tour to Volendam, Marken & The Windmills

This excursion takes us to the countryside north of Amsterdam, to the edge of the river Zaan, where we visit windmill village ‘de Zaanse Schans’, with its characteristic green wooden houses. On the turn of the 18th century this district was an industrial area with approximately 700 windmills in use. In this day and age there are only five left. Through typical Dutch scenery we continue to Volendam for a city walk and the traditional fisherman’s village of Marken, situated on the shores of the former Zuiderzee. This tour includes a visit to a working windmill, boat ride between Marken and Volendam, a demonstration in a cheese factory and visit to a traditional clog maker.

The tour is live guided in English and Spanish but supported by an GPS audio system in 16 languages.

Cosmopolitan Amsterdam is most famous for its narrow, gabled houses lining the canals. Interesting attractions include the medieval weighhouse, Royal Palace on Dam Square, and New Church. Its most glamorous industry is the diamond trade. Not too far from Amsterdam are the flower centers of Aalsmeer, the picturesque fishing villages of Volendam and Marken, cheese markets at Edam and Gouda, and historic Haarlem, the main center of the bulb-growing industry. Enjoy the city’s sights from a glass-topped sightseeing boat which passes characteristic gabled houses and negotiates picturesque arched bridges. Facing Dam Square, the Royal Palace was built in 1648 and is still officially the royal residence, although the royal family resides in The Hague. You are met at Amsterdam port for a full-day excursion outside of the city. Head south into the countryside for a photo opportunity at the impressive Three Sisters Windmills in Stompwijk. As over a third of the Netherlands lies below sea level, windmills were initially designed to pump vast amount of water out, thus protecting land from flooding. Today, these silent giants draw many visitors every year for their charming appearances.

From here, you travel on to Delft, world-renowned for its famous blue and white pottery and one of the most beautiful towns in the Netherlands. Take in the town’s architectural gems and charming ambience, which are best appreciated by walking along its small canals with their graceful humpbacked bridges.

Following this, enjoy a privately-guided tour at the Royal Delft Experience, where a painter shares the passion behind the production of this stunning 17th-century earthenware during a special demonstration.

After lunch at leisure, you continue to the Hague, the home of the Dutch Royal Family and the administrative capital of the Netherlands; walk the Inner court past the Government buildings and take the opportunity for a photo stop at the International Court of Justice.
